NED Test and Tune Night (10/18/02)
As you know tonight I was at the New England Drag Way..
The Weather: Partially cloudy. Temp 47-37, Humidity: 75-89% B.P 30.13
My CLS: Injen CAI, NGK Iridium Plugs, OBX Headers, UR Ultra SS Kit, and 18" 235/40/18 555 Nittos (Near Bald, greasey, and feel like burned platstic!!!), Wheel wheight 23 Lbs. No Spare Tire, No Jack. 3/4 Tank of Gas
I could not improve my personal record of 14.613 @ 95.81 MPH
I learned a lesson, a Lot of Torque and NO traction, you go nowhere, time to save for stickier tires for next summer
I had 4 runs for the whole night. I started at Front PSI of 38, then 32, 29.5 and finally 28.. Rear were at 37.5 PSI. All runs were 1-2-D4... and I missed 1-2 few times (hit rev-limiter) and had tons of wheel spin and wheel hops... In short, I could not have good launchs.
On the other hand, I had fun, ... On the second, I beated an old V8 domestic car (14.63s@92.73MPH) by hole shot of 0.1523s....In addtion, on my third run I beated a Prelude SH (15.58s@89.42MPH) by 1.2532s... but I red-lighted
Due to very bad traction, my times are so so... so here we go:

The first, next spring are new tires....
Candidates for now are:
Yokohama Es 100
Yokohama Parada Spec-2 (if they release a 235/40/18)
Goodyear F1 ( the new tire that look like Toyo T1-S)
Toyo T1-S
Nitto 555 (or its replacement)
Mother in law is pressuring me to go with Michelin Pilot A/S 235/40/18 and said .... ditch the 16" snowy crap ....

3/4 tank issue... I just filled couple days ago, I had in mind to buy a cheap platic pump to pump out the gas from my CLS and drain it in the Sienna... but no time....
I jsut decide to hit the track the same day.... But I guess my problem was not the weight but Traction Probelems....!!!
And that sucker ES 100 can be pumped up to 51 PSI... So I guess I have to pump 44 PSI for day to day driving
The ES 100 235/40/18 is for 140 and FREE shipping at tires.com
