I've recently experienced a malfunction witht the Navi kit.. The dayumn think keeps restarting on its own and flashing this message: "DVD NAVIGATION DOOR IS OPEN OR NO DVD DISK IS INSTALLED, PLEASE CHECK SYSTEM"... This message happened yesterday 1hr after using the system.. I checked the doors, nothing wrong.. Pulled out the disk and put it back in and nothing.. First it would work intermittently, but now i get that message every time i hit the menu or map/guide button... Wondering if this is a hardware failure or maybe Navi satellite system is having issues.. If anyone has gotten that error, please update..

PS: I recently bought a V-1 after using the Passport 8500 for a month now.. the V-1 can't shut it's yap even in Advanced Logic mode.. Keeps reading banks and automatic door openers on the K band... That's anoying cuz the Passport reads them on X band and 5-0 uses K and Ka bands out here... Why da hell is V-1 reading a K band on these things and Passport reports them as the X band where i know i can ignore them.. Scheiss!! "Shawn S" this is your field man, what's da deal?
