You’re going to need a HELL of a lot more parts then that.

I still say it would be 5,000 PLUS so you’re better off trading or going aftermarket.

You'd be much better off just getting an Alpine or some other comparable brand. Just get one of those cool motorized screens and you'll be set. No use in spending tons more just to get the Acura one installed.

why didn't you just get one w/ it installed at factory? it's definitely NOT worth it to install. just sell and buy the 2003!

Is this really that bad of an idea?? I was really thinking about it......the reason I didn't get Navi when I bought the car is b/c I didn't know it was available and the stupid azz sales man didn't try selling it to me!!!! I would have gotten it for sure. As soon as I found this site and found out that Navi was available....I was really upset.

Someone on the TL board put a factory Acura navi in his 1st generation TL. Im pretty sure he did the work himself but it looks really good

I want to add an aftermarket motorized display with DVD capability. What are the best units that people here reccomend and what else am I going to need to do this aftermarket? thanks

Alpine makes our DVD-based navi system...I think Tim(or someone) at A-CL has a animated .gif of one sliding in and out....pretty snazzy
