Nashua -- tried to PM you -- mailbox = full

this doesn't have to be private anyways:

i just wanted to ask if there was anything you noticed upon visual inspection of the stone headers that made them seem of equal or better build quality than the obx headers. I ask this b/c there is no warranty ..

also .. does stone have a website? do they sell other products online?

thanks

raj

what is the OBX warranty? Chances are if there is no problem right away, it won't happen under warranty. I haven't seen anything but OBX. I've only seen my 2 cast manifolds (one being made from inconel steel in a last wax cast) for my car (audi) but they (OBX) don't compare. I wasn't a big fan of the welding job and rough interior surfaces of the OBX....methinks that might be the cause of the resonance. But I would have to see Stone and CT to really comapre. Maybe that's about as good as it get's for welding, but I wouldn't think so.

If you check out Nashua's install of the stone headers, he shows you pictures of the Stone versus the OBX headers and where the obvious quality differences are. The differences may not be significant, but you can tell the Stone headers were put together more carefully. For example, the heads are port matched, while the OBX headers are not ... the welding job on the Stone headers looks more professionally done than on the OBX headers too.

Here's the link to the pics of the Stone headers :

They look the same to me, however, the Stone headers appeared to be heavier. However, I never weighted both on the same scale next to each other.

Stone Racing, UK to the best of my knowledge does not have a web site.

I will clear up my inbox. Monday, I should hear another update from the Factory Rep.

Nashua.

Note: Sorry, I could not check my email. I am still in Montreal. However, I cleared some PMs.
