Paint should not just peel off your car. Take it to Acura and have them fix or replace.

Actually I had a Prelude before that had the same problem. On the front bumper there was a spot about the size of a .50. The dealer looked at it and said that it started from a rock chip (you could see where the rock hit) and the paint will peal off if you dont put something like touch up paint on it. They did not fix it but I got rid of the car not to long after that.

With a <2 yr old car, even if it started from a rock, I would forecefully suggest that they cover it. Perhaps after some discussion they'd cover part of the cost to fix, worst case you are where you began: with a peeling side panel.

If they're gruff about it give them the whole "I'd like to feel comfortable recommending Acura's and your dealership to my friends, but when I experience paint peeling off a 2001 car I am not sure I can. Especially when it is not resolved in a mutually satisfactory manner".

thanks guys I went up there and with out really any hassle the service manager said take it to the body shop and they'll take care of the bill . I called them back to see if I could get a loaner car for the 2-3 days it would be in shop so that I can get back and forth and they said they dont give out loaner cars....that kinda pissed me off so my father and I went up there to talk to the service manager to see what they can do ...all he said that he can do is call his rep or something and see if there willing to do that . I mean this isnt my fault the damn paint came off the care and I felt that this was an inconvience to me . So probably later on this week i'll find out if there gonna give me a car to drive around . I also brought up the CLS and TLS tranny and he kinda gave me bs about it and i told him that one of the service guys told me awhile back that there where problems with the cls trannys and he assured me that there has been none .....then I he told me only TLS had tranny problems which was a crock of $%#@
