took me about 30 minutes to install....no big deal! but the sound, in my opinion was too loud. boy, when i floor it, it does have that nice "grrrrr" to it...and the "space shuttle decompression sound" when shutting off the engine is cool too. but, in my opinion, there's just too much hiss, specially when i turn on the ac. and i found that high whistling noise particularly annoying. any louder and it would make my ears bleed! it may be different for the AEM CAI. i purchased this car for the slight "quietness" inside the passenger compartment....and i'd like to get that "quiet" as much as i can.....even when i'm flooring the car. what i did notice particularly good about having the short ram intake is that going at certain speeds, my tach would be about 2k lower than when i had the stock air box installed. i would assume that that would relate to some gas savings. so....to end my story, i put the stock airbox back on with the k&n drop in filter!
