ok, today was a beautiful day..driving with some nice music, nice sun, good weather having a cigerrete..then i say to myself, i am gonna put my 17" stock rims on and put away these bitchy snow tires with tl rims..so i go to this place for them to change for it for me, since i really have no time..and the guy says "i am not letting you leave with this unsafe tire".. my stupid CL-S stock tire has some bubble coming out of it, so i say 4 different swear words in my head, then i remember i am in a service shop and "bad words" are normal, so i say a swear word out loud too..

anyways, i ask how much to replace the stock tire, he quotes me $290(184u.s.) dollars for 1 tire!!

then i start thinkning about the other 3 having less tread wear then a new one and blah blah blah..sooo, i decided to buy some good INEXPENSIVE tires for summer only with good wear..and i found these on tirerack.com .. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/kumho/ku_712.jsp



what i realized was that this tire, which is much cheaper, was rated MUCH better than a lot of other tires in survey results, and it lasts longer than almost all of them, and there are NO cons with these tires..can anyone tell me why the hell they are so cheap???

their only $100 u.s. dollars each..and their wear is supposed to be 60 000km (37500M)

anyways, these are all i can afford right now..this is the last thing i need, i actually just purchased a new Condo that is supposed to be ready in summer, its being built..finally moving out of my parents house...i signed the papers an hour before i was destroyed by the thought of coughing up so much cash for tires!

the tires are 235-45-17 Kumho Supra 712

 

my buddy has them on his integra with the mighty ls vtec swap, and he love em and he drives like an asshole 100 percent of the time rain or shine

First off, I have heard good things about Kumho tires but second the tire guy you talked to was hosing you. They're not that expensive through TireRack!
