Have you guys seen this before.

About 6 months ago, when I started my car up, the NAVI screen would have gray streaks on it. I would shut the car off and start it up again and most of the time it would fix itself. But as the months carried on, my NAVI has been doing this 'gray streak' thing more often. Now it does it every time I start the car up. When I say gray, I mean the whole screen has gray lines in it (can't see the time or anything). I know the touch screen works because if I touch the bottom left corner of the screen, it shuts off.

Anyone seen this before in their car. If so, did you have to get the NAVI screen replaced.

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me. Bring it to the dealership. They fixed mine under warranty. I hope yours is still covered. I believe they sound that it was something about a grounding issue.

 

i had the exact same thing, for which the dealer swapped out my navi screen under warranty! I believe there is a service bulletin on it! I got lucky..........48,200 miles w/ navi/dvd conversion...and got my screen replaced! The pain in the ass was hiding all the wiring from the conversion......but well worth the effort.

 

If it isn't covered under warranty, believe it or not, there is a NAVI screen on Ebay right now for $400. I suggest you get another screen if your warranty is up.

 

You must not have payed the annual software licensing fee for the software that runs the nav.

After mine did the same thing, one day it grayed out; I sent my money in for another 2 years of licensing and they were able to turn it back on via the satellite link. Works good now.

Check with the Acura 800 number...this might be your problem
