My front seats don't move automatically everytime! What gives?
You know when you let somebody in, my chairs don't seem to automatically retract everytime. Is it a matter of timing? I tried figuring out when it should move and look for patterns, but can't figure it out! Shouldn't it move everytime? Please help. thanks.

If someone pushed the buttons on the side it will stop, and if it doesn't go into place all the way it wont move either.
I have people complain about the seats every single time they get in.

make sure after lifting the plastic handle you give the seatback a firm frontward swing till you hear a faint click. this ensures the motor switch is actuated. once you are use to it you'll be able to tell if you did it right or must do over. you cannot move the passenger seat forward from the drivers seat if the passenger door is closed. the mechanism is a little tricky but much quicker than other car brands.

I think I know what you mean. You flip the seat up to let people in and sometimes it won't automatically slide forward. Sometimes it won't slide automatically back into its original spot. I've also been puzzled by this.

the worst is when you use that switch to move the drivers seat forward to get something out of the back...then when you put the seat back in position it goes all the way up to the steering wheel.
anyone know what I am talking about.

As far as when you pull the lever to make the seat come forward for people to get in the back, make sure the switch isn't caught up on the seat belt. This has happened to me more then once and it won't let the seat come forward or go back.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but I have a related question:
Why do the memory seat presets seem to disappear once in awhile? I don't disconnect the battery or clear them manually...

I had my car for almost 2.5 years b/f I realized the car had to be in PARK for the passenger seat to move automatically. I always thought the thing was just tempermental.

on another note.
I noticed if I slide someone in the passen. Side rear then push the seat back... if the passen. in the back pushes on the seat it will stop from coming back any further.. or if the passenger jumps in before the seat goes back all the way the seat will stop... SO I would imagine there is a resistance feature built into the auto seat positioner..

Kinda like the power window safety feature i guess. However the seats don't exactly move with great speed that they'd be causing much damage anyway.
