My exhaust decdided to run away last night!

Hey guys,

So yesterday while driving my driver side exhaust decided to fall off. Was curious where to order the stock ones at? I'm thinking of just replacing from the cat all the way back. What parts would I need? Thanks ahead of time guys. I've been looking but just don't know exactly what to get! And or what aftermarket alternative would be available for a decent price?

What's a decent price to you?
some would say 1000 some would say 500 and some would try to get something for 100.
where do you fall and what are you looking for out of the exhaust ?

I would suggest if you only want stock buy a used set cause oem parts are pricey and with aftermarket you can get better quality for the money you spend.

As for what would be good aftermarket it matters what you want to spend, the sound you want, looks, etc.

http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal
here is a link to the exhaust of a 01 type S. Mufflers are 182 a piece plus shipping new.

I would prefer to do aftermarket and have no problem spending 500-1000

Like I said I want to replace all of the pipping from the Cat all the way back. I already have the aftermarket cat in there. If I'm going to spend the money I would prefer it to be aftermarket....but the car does have 150000 miles on it already lol. But no biggy. I don't plan on getting rid of her

So true. Will probably be replacing mine soon too. You can probably just go custom unless you're looking for a specific sound.

Is that 6-8hp with all stock exhaust in front of the comptech ?
That might be the only way those number might stick.
To many exhaust combo's to have those numbers make sense to anyone.

I say either get a set of used mufflers from here or do a cat back with magnaflows. You can go CT but you would still need piping done if you wanted to go cat back.

Cost wise: used OEM -> cat back with magnaflow -> cat back with CT mufflers

as for a muffler falling off, I remember someone posting that it happened to their car before.

So true. I have the CT B-Pipe on my car and it broke 2 seperate times. Luckily I was close to work and a muffler shop. The car was so loud I couldnt stand more than a couple of miles of exhaust noise and the pipe dragging. The welds just broke apart for no reason.
