My CL-S stolen in SF
Didn't leave keys in it... was locked... parked in front of my apartment... no broken glass... car GONE. Probably never get it back.

car-less not careless. which neighborhood do you stay in? never thought a CL would get stolen in SF. was your car modded? i used to always park my car in the streets

Yeah. They probably towed it away.
Start looking for chop shops around town. Spread the news in local forums.
One of my buddies Si was stolen, everybody here knew that car and people started seeing a similar car about a month later. we went and checked it out finally and it was his with some parts changed (including the vin number). But it was too late. They had sold it to some guy who acutally had the title (for the different vin). his insurance had already paid him, so he was like fuck it.
Those guys got busted though. Cops found over 10 cars there.
Start looking for chop shops around town. Spread the news in local forums.

It wasn't towed. I was parallel parked between two cars right underneath my bedroom. I did hear a car honking but only twice. There were some thunderstorms going on and it was right after a loud clap. I was half asleep and didn't think anything of it. Been three days... finding a stolen car in SF is about as much of a priority as making sure someone's bathroom drain isn't clogged up.
Obviously the theif knew what they were doing. I'm sure the car got chopped and parted out. I have another car but still sucks. I did find one like mine with 20,000 fewer miles for sale in Socal but it looks like it's at a pot lot with aftermarket wheels and shifter knob. They want 11k for it (61,000 miles). Have to wait to hear from insurance before I do anything. Might just drive my original car which is a 71 VW Bus and not get a second car. Tough to compare a CL-S 6 speed to a Bus!

Found two White/Ebony 6 speeds for sale too... very rare and nice but my CL was almost paid off not sure I want to get back into payments again.

Sorry to hear about your loss and I hope they find it for you. It might not be chopped yet because sometimes the thieves park it for several days to a week just to see if it was tracked by lojack or some other tracking system before they do anything.

Car jack dollies, rolls out from between cars, car gets pulled on top a flatbed & gone.
I've seen tow guys use them. If you don't have a shock sensor the factory alarm is useless.
Also it's really easy to bypass the factory alarm once you jimmy the door open.
There are electronic gizmo's to bypass the transponder key too
Just bad luck it was your car.

Yes they have employee deals that are very nice. MB does not make a Manual Transmission Coupe. I do like the C Class but I'm not getting the smaller engine which only comes with the manual. Plus you put your money into it and it gets stolen!
Honestly I'll just put Lojack into my Bus and go back to driving it. Maybe one day I'll get another CL-S 6 Speed but for now I'll just save the cash. My commute is only 1 mile each way and I've been meaning to finish restoring my Bus...
I'm just glad I didn't really modify my car and lose all that money. Plus if I don't get the car back my parking tickets go away, registration fee goes away, 105k service goes away, insurance fee goes away. Sucks that I did spend over $800 for 4 new Continental tires in March but c'est la vie.
I am really shocked that the car got stolen. I think I will never own another car without Lojack now. Thing that blows so much is to have a car that's almost paid off and in nice overall condition just gone.
There is a sweet White/Ebony 6 Speed Navi for sale but I don't feel like shelling out 15k for that with tax and everything.
Those crooks are lucky I didn't catch them. I'm probably lucky too because Kalifornia law doesn't look to kindly on people "defending" their property. Were I in Texas I would have had different rights. And the SF Police told me their policy makes looking for stolen cars one of the lowest priorities.

CLS is a nice rig. Save some cash.

Sux man! If it makes you feel better a dude that i work with had his car stolen like a month or two ago. It was a honda civic hatchback that was hooked up. I asked if anyone found it, and he said yes it was found stripped at this garage. It's jus the days and times we are living in. Good luck.

The CL-S6 is a very unique car. I highly recommend that you get another one after you are getting sick of driving the bus again. BY THE WAY, There are only 15 White/Black/Navi CL's in the entire world. 2 of these 15 are on Autotrader.

I saw those! If I wanted to spend the money I'd buy the one in CT! That is a nice ride despite salt on the roads but I bet he took good care of it.
The Bus is a great car but it's no CL. I've had it for 14 years though... I will see if my car shows up, if not how much I have left over after the bank is paid off... what a mess!
The one like mine but with 21k less miles is in Burbank... 11k... I could go there but Auto Liquidators doesn't sound too good...

Wow that's like 25 miles from where I grew up. VERY NICE car. Pricing is slightly higher than what I have been seeing elsewhere. My car was JUST like that but with a BMW M5 lip spoiler and painted emblems on the back...

ur car looks like every other cl-s in SF or bay area... except for the emblems on the left... mine has the lip spoiler just like urs and debaged, but i left the "S" on the right and the logo in the middle...removed the rest.... my bro has the same color as u, but same setup as mine.
