Muffler swap

Anyone know what would be involved in swapping the mufflers out with some aftermarkets? I need to know the y-pipe to muffler diameter, the length of the stock mufflers, and would I have to get mounts welded to the mufflers?
I do not have $$ for a full cat back system, and it would not help me alot since I have a CLP anyways. This is simply a blin and sound factor mod for me.

any help would be appreciated...

Yeah, but I really like working on my car. It's my only outlet (fairly $$, though). Are our mufflers welded on?

I see. I'm the same too.

If you're going for universal mufflers like Magnaflow, then YES, you need to weld on the hangers, tips (if necessary) and a bent pipe with a 2 bolt flange.

Still trying to find that image of the pipe diameters for you.

All cost too much. I am looking at spending about $200 on the mufflers, and perhaps a little extra on install. I really cannot spend 600-1000 on those exhausts.

For $160 + $40 install, you can order the Magnaflow 14832 mufflers x 2 and have professional welding too. ~$200

No difference, actually, the sound is almost the same or negligible.
