Moving battery to trunk
anyone know off-hand how much our stock batteries weigh?
this f/r weight distribution is getting to me. has anyone done this move and care to share details of it - mounting in the trunk, specific wire gauge used, etc.?

Good idea. A couple of weeks ago the OPB Motorweek show had the whole kit and kaboodle from some company. Search Goss's Garage or Motorweek. Share results. BC

not worth it unless you're adding a turbo, imo.

I love the idea. I think you should dump the spare tire and jack, and put the battery in the spare tire well. Even better, get one of those dry cell batters that weigh half of what our stock one weighs.
I'd guess that you would end up 70 lbs lighter, but your F/R ratio would actually get worse.
also, SS headers will save as much LBS as the relocation of the battery.
