motor mounts

I've had this 1st to 2nd shift jerking thing for a while since the beginning of last year (01 CLS 5AT) I went in to check the tranny and they said all is fine and I got front and right side motor mounts that are broken. So I drove around for a while and then bought and put in both the front and right side motor mounts. Honestly after that I could not feel this hesitation/shift jerking anymore. That was just before the winter. Basically the 1-2 shift is doing it again. I'd like not to think it's my tranny but I've been driving it like that with no other noticable problems at all.

Do these motor mounts really go bad that fast or what?

depends on your driving style. are you beating it? the motor mounts go real fast in our cars because of how heavy the engine is. im at 63k and im almost due for a new pair. i try to slink of the line slow as possible to preserve them, how much did 2 run you by the way?

i guess because of how much torque and weight our engines have the mounts go relatively fast especially by comparison to other hondas or cars in general

my driving style is quite conservative but I do gun it once in a while. How do you know yours are going? Do you feel the same thing (kinda like a very slight hesitation) in the 1-2 shift?

got them here...
