All the mounts are made by Innovative. It will take about 5-7 bus days to make the rear mount for the M/T CL and the same for the side mount. They are an entirely self-sufficient company; everything is done in house.

Any idea of what the side mount will run? Just curious as I was planning on the DIY approach, but if the price or rather a package deal for all 3 is good I won't event mess with doing it myself.

Also, I saw a question about the pricing based on choosing one of the 3 options (Street, Street/Strip and Strip). Basically will the price be the same or more for one of the firmer options?

It's $15 extra for the 75A polyurethane for the whole kit. I wouldn't recommend 85A unless it is a track only car.

I'm going to try to get the whole 3 pc kit for around $325 shipped or so but I won't know exactly until I send the mounts in and get a confirmation from Innovative.

I'm not sure which motor mounts to go with, I'm planning on running 6 lbs. of boost with the SC before the end of the year - so whichever are most appropriate. Thanks!

List on these 2 mounts is $300 plus it's about $20 to ship them so you're saving about $70 and it looks like $150 over the previous GB.
Im confused cause in this thread (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=191793) you stated that the mounts would be $250 shipped with a gb, or $275 w/ out gb. So whats the deal?

he is saying that if you purchased them direct from innovative, they would cost 300+20(s/h). for a group buy excelerate will do 250 shipped (i.e. the 70 saved) or without a group buy cost would be 275 shipped from excelerate.

My is:

The questions you must ask yourself is, what is more important?

Less engine movement which will result in less parasitic HP loss, and less wheel hop?

or

Are you looking an improvement over stock, while minimizing virbration? Then go with the street version.

If you plan on racing some, and don't mind a little vibration, then go with street/strip version.

If you don't care about vibrations and plan to race a lot and want maximum control, then use the strip only version.

i had solid mounts on a previous car... not the most fun on a daily basis. imo street is more than enough. the harder mounts are purely for track cars.

Hmmm... I think I can deal with some vibration honestly so I'll probably end up doing the street/strip version. But in daily driving (AKA shifting @ 3K RPM's) will there be a lot of noticeable vibration? Or are we talking only during WOT and dumping the clutch? Because with the navi/DVD player I really enjoy the smoothness of the current ride. But with the SC I just want to focus STRICTLY on performance. So I'll probably end up with the street/strip version.

Well in that case, nevermind, I'll definitely end up with the street version.

Good Question. I believe theres some brown colored fluid that leaks from some of them when they are busted. To add on to the question, how else can you check?

I think mine are going. Once I confirm if they are, count me in for the GB. I got cash in hand!

I had solid mounts on my SRT-4. Night and day difference, the whole cockpit shakes all the time, you can hear and feel just about every vibration. They were amazing at eliminating wheel hop.

yeah, that brown stuff, but they don't come out sometimes. if you can see your engine move a lot during revs i'll check the mounts...

difference between the CL vs Accords are the rubber mounts insulator. Acura said they "upgrade" the mount by putting that but they're the same mounts i'm not exactly sure on how they got my rear mount to fit on my 6spd swap, i've been told that AT and MT on the rear aren't the same... you guys should call Innovative on this one to verify...

No not yet. I guess no one was able to get one. I have one guy who wants to take his off his car but I am not going to have someone do that. So I guess I have to buy one and absorb the costs. If I don't get a PM or post by the end of today I am giong to order one. Please let me know.

Well do you guys want to just buy the front and rear or do you want to wait for the side mount too? I'm working on the rear mount for the CL-S 6 spds too.

If you're still thinking you can get us a package price of $325 for all 3 of the street versions, I'm in. You can save about $50 with the DIY approach, but with the warranty and work effort it's worth just getting all 3.

Anyone have a picture of where in the engine bay the engine mounts are located? If broken, would they be replaced under the Acura warranty?

FYI, I understand the OEM mount itself is flawed, hence the upgrade to the innovative mount.

Not 100% sure, but from the picture in the link below, it looks like it needs to be turned 180 degs.

They consider the motor mounts as normal wear and tear items that need to be replaced by the consumer like timing belt, water pump, etc. However, I feel they should be.

I also believe that there weakness is probably a small cause as to why are transmissions are so fucked up. JM

My mounts are broken also and it messes up my Aem CAI because of the movement of the motor the coupler that holds the filter keeps breaking so I have to fix the mounts so the motor doesn't have so much movement to permanently fix that problem.

Thanks distorted.. alright so we have the rear CL-S M/T mount on the way and I should have the side mount ready to ship to Innovative tomorrow. So figure we're looking at about 2 weeks for the finished product.

If anyone with a 2nd gen CL/TL A/T just wants the front and rear kit I can start shipping ASAP but I will have to get 10 guys to get the GB price. If you want the whole 3 pc kit then we're going to have to wait for the 2 weeks. And the CL-S M/T guys need to wait the 2 weeks too.
