More! than 1000 Horsepower

It's back! Bugatti, one of the greatest names in motoring history, is set to make an outrageous return to glory with the world's most powerful production car ever. Top brass at the VW-owned company have confirmed it is to build the EB 16.4 Veyron.
Powered by a W16 engine with four turbochargers, the supercar will deliver an unbelievable 1,001bhp some 200bhp more than current grand prix cars. And amazingly, this figure is actually said to be a conservative estimate.

With 1,250Nm of torque (that's about 900 lb-ft folks) available at 2,200rpm from the direct-injection engine, the four-wheel-drive monster promises the drive of your life... at a price of £500,000. Karl-Heinz Neumann, president of Bugatti, told amazed onlookers at the Geneva Motor Show: "This car will cross the bridge of time. Bugatti has a very dynamic future."

Riding on 20-inch alloy wheels, the car is named after Bugatti works racing driver Pierre Veyron, who won at Le Mans in 1931. To emphasise its heritage, the EB 16.4 will be built at the firm's traditional home in Molsheim, Alsace, France, where founder Ettore Bugatti established a factory nearly 100 years ago.

And to add to the previous comments of mine about how Porsche will be using the Cayenne engines for future GT cars:

Some of the car's technical wizardry will find its way into other VW products. For example, the next-generation Polo uses the same direct-injection engine technology.

I am not sure about US availability but I would bet that this will sell MOSTLY in the US. There is not much money oversees these days for super expensive cars like these. I would say 60%-70% of the cars will be sold here.
