more power when imrc kept open?

more power when imrc kept open?

I just recently had my imrc replaced and when i reliezed it was broken i just zip tied it open till i got my new one and it felt pretty good then when i put on the working one though it almost felt like it lost some power. So my question is would it be better for the imrc to be open all the time or just let the working imrc do its job. Im sure honda has it on for a reason though....

u had the power right at the beginning of the rpm band, now u have the same power but at 3500rpm

i did the same thing with a zip tie when i found that mine was not working. I felt that I lost some low end TQ, off the line with it pegged open. When I put the new IRMC in I though it ran better at low speed. More TQ.

Are you saying that now that his IRMC is working he is waiting till 3500 to get the power, or he now when it was pinned open he was getting the power right of the bat?

with it open the intake manifold is just one section, wit it closed its two sections.
its supposed to open around 3500rpm for better and more flow.
