Mods and crusing speed...????
No one ever mentioned this topic.
What is the effect of Mods like RES and MM-2 on crusing speed?
Let me explain.
Asume that a stock CLS engine makes 100 HP at 2000 rpm. In 5th at 2000rpm the CLS cruses at 70MPH.
Then, assume by adding mods like RES, MM-2 and CAI, and Headers, the CLS engine makes 120 HP at 2000 rpm..
So, more HP means more force, or more speed. So you would expect that the CLS would cruise at 80 MPH instead of 70 MPH BUT to do 80 MPH you need higher rpms (due to overall fixed gear ratio), and higher rpms means more power and so on....
So, how do you solve this puzzle?

You would get to 80 or 70 faster, crusing speed or any speed vs rpm should not change. I Think
So the more mods you add (more power) the faster you get to a certain speed. You are only affecting the acceleration not velocity.
someone correct me if im wrong.

It just means the engine doesn't have to work as hard. Like climbing a hill vs. driving on flat ground. When you go uphill, you have to give it more gas to maintain the same speed. So with the mods you'd need less throttle than before to cruise at a given speed.
