Misfire not fixed after 7 days @ Hoehn Acura in S.D.

I have 5,000 miles on my 03 six speed. I have noticed a rough idle since my purchase in November. After holiday trips, I took it to Hoehn Acura in San Diego. I've connected with a very good technician named Greg who is working hard to solve my problem.

After 7 days, no resolve. The front motor mount has been replaced to smooth vibration and the valves have been adjusted per Tech Line to fix the idle.

Today Greg ordered new fuel injectors per Tech Line and will replace those next week. He is also going to remove an ECU from an unsold 03 six speed to test that in my car to try and
fix the rough idle that has been diasnosed as a mini-misfire.

If they determine the ECU solves the problem, then and only then, are they allowed, per Acura, to order a new ECU.

Greg assured me the problem will ultimately be fixed, he's very passionate about this product. I'm not happy to be going through this with a new car, but am optimistic with the relationship established with Greg.

Anyone else have a rough idle?

I would call a car with that many issues at 5K a lemon. Some people might think differently, but wow too many issues so soon.

Demand a new car from the dealer. If you get no response, go to the Regional Mgr., and then American Honda after that.

IMO, he needs to do less calling to the Tech line and more direct testing and diagnosis. But I know that is their way...

I'll be interested to see what they come back with though. Have them go to a different type of plug just for testing purposes if you can.
