Might buy a CLS6
Hey guy I went to go look at a White CLS6 yesterday a guy is selling one with 80000 miles. I really did like it the only problem with the car is paint chipping on rear bumper and driver seat has wear and tear. I got to test drive it. It drove great no grinding the clutch felt alittle mushy dont know if thats how it is supossed to be but overall it was great. He wants 9800 for the car. I think the price is to high. What do yall think?

I really love the car. i know its a very rare car but its not worth 9800 I'm going to the credit union tomorrow to see how much the car note will be a month if its not to bad I'm going to make an offer.. he said he would come down on the price because of the paint and seat but i dont think his price is coming down as much as i want.

Werd. Timing belt and water pump are 105k OR 7 years which has passed at this point. Skipping general maintenance is never a good sign when you're buying a car.
I'd also have to come way down on the price. While 80k miles isn't bad, it's still a 10 year old car too. I wouldn't pay more than $5k at max and even that is on the high side.
Edit: With the timing belt and water pump and tensioner not being changed, I'd want another $800 or so knocked off the price. Tell him dealer cost on the job of $1200. :P

So You Have To Assume It Hasn't Been Done. That's 600-1200 In Immediate Maintenance Right There. And That Daughter Might Have Burned The Clutch. That Price Should Come Way Down.
Edit, If Maintained At Dealer, There Would Be A Record. Easy Enough To Find Out.

pries vary depending on where you live. Around here that car would probably go for around 7k. The timing belt is a big bargaining chip, so i would call the dealer who supposedly did the regular maintenance to find out. If it hasn't been done, then you can really bring that price down.

I offered him 7500 he said he doesnt know if the timing belt has been or not he said he would take off a K for repairs/maint. which is 8800 still think thats too high in price.

If this helps. I just sold mine for $8K with 86k miles. I did not have the timing belt/ water pump done.
The paint wasn't chipping, seats were in great condition and clutch was in working order... it was mint
