Memory seat problems

Dropped my car off this afternoon at Goodson Acura to get my rattles fixed. Sunroof / under back window. While cleaning out the backseat before I took her in, I discovered that the "auto return" feature was not working on my drivers seat. After the seat back is raised, and pushed back, the seat is supposed to slide back to its original position. Mine does not. It just slides back an inch or so and then slides back and forth on the track a couple of times and then stops. The dealer had my car all afternoon. They called me about 6:30 tonight and said that they fixed the rattles (I'll be the judge of that) but they had not figured out what was wrong with my seat and would need to keep my car over night. Good thing for the loaner car.

Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.

I haven't had the problem, sorry.

Going strictly off of memory, I believe that the seat demonstates that quick back and forth type action when it is being blocked or hindered.

Do you have a memory position set for the driver's seat? If so, how does that work; when you lift the handle and the seat moves forward, someone gets in the back seat, lower the seat, it begins back to the original position but you say it stops. Then if you hit the remote (close/open the door whatever), does the seat then go into the correct position?
