On my way back to work from lunch and as usual there are kids messing around in the streets. Well one sees my ghetto as muffler and comes up on me hard. I drop a gear and get up to 60 in 3rd and just cruise, then I wanna see if he really wants to play. I take him to the highway and hit it he stays with me till 90 as I am still in 3rd at about 5500rpm , I drop it in to 4th and it was over. I left him like he wasnt there. I knew I would get him because in my area there are only a few swapped civics and I know who they are. I shut it down at 120. Poor Dumb Civic Kid

when i had a 2.2cl i/h/e/p/i i still wouldnt say i could easily walk civics. the newer exs are pretty quick w/ no passengers. at higher speeds the bigger engine helps but the f2.x cl isnt really that superior to most of the newer civics out there. it sux but its true. good that you beat him. nothin more shameful then losing to one especially when they get a jump on you doing a ricer flybly and you cant catch them. then you just feed their ego.

full msd ignition (6a,blaster ss coil,wires). i also had upgraded suspension, volk gram light rims (16.5lbs) and goodyear rubber. our car is just so heavy for our little motor. its sure looks f'n sweet though. id take my 97 2.2cl over a new civic any day even if it had 180hp super vtec. haha

suspension asap and a new up and down pipe for now. of course its already tinted and xenons going in shortly. not really sure if ill dump any more $$$ in it. it moves already and after spending like 7k in my cl i learned it doesnt pay in the end. i would love to order some 18" volks but they wont get here until july most likely so i should just wait it out till next spring and order them in the winter. we'l see.
