why don't you get the new m3 if your going to spend 45k on a 530i, this should not even be a question in your mind,,,in ny we have them going for sticer there is no more gouging and they are readily available....what are you thinking?

i think new m3 cost over 54000 plus tax and lic
however..i do like the e36 m3 very much.with 45000 dollars to spend...i can buy a good condition e36 m3 and have about 15000~18000 to mod it..so after that..i bet that m3 will be faster than e46 m3...just my opinion.. i love my cls and seattle mariners baseball team

E36 M3's were not available in the United States with a 6spd. Only in Europe, and if your going to get a E36 M3 get a 95, because there OBD1 and you can modify them A LOT easier. Active Autowerkes makes some incredible turbo kits for the car, I almost bought one, for my old car.
