Mb Sl55!!!!!!!!!
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! Last night on the freeway I had the pleasure of being passed by a brand new (still had temps) black SL55 w/ 20's! All the mags are comparing it to the Ferrari 360. Up untill now, I thought that was crazy...after seeing it person, I think that car is just as beautiful (in a different way) as a 360. Sounds like the performance is relativly close too. Wish I has $120K buring a hole in my pocket!

It is a hot car, but the stock Alpina looking wheels have to go.....they do nothing for the car. Throw a nice set of Brabus wheels on and your all set to go.

BTW the SL55 is hotttttttt as hell...but i too have trouble accepting it as a Ferrari competitor. Maybe if it had a more distinguished look from the lesser SLs...

Actually, the Multispoke wheels (called the R230), are standard on the SL55. I checked one out at the dealer and wasn't an add on. The 5 spoke AMGs are most likely a dealer installed option.
These are the factory SL55 options
Bi-Xenon Headlamps
Distronic Adaptive Cruise Control
Keyless Go
Motorola V60 Phone w/Voice Controls
Navigation CD Collection
Panorama Roof with Sunshade
Parktronic
Tire-Pressure Monitoring System
designo Espresso Edition N/A as of yet
designo Graphite Edition N/A as of yet

Don't go by MBUSA......their info is known for being screwy. When the new Eclass info went up, it took them over a month to straighten it out (options and colors were wrong).
My oldman has an E500 coming in next week, so I'll ask when I'm there. I'm kind of curious (why I don't know).

What I find amazing is the panaromic sunroof option for a hardtop convertible. That is sweet.
I don't think you can compare it to the 360, since the 360 has a true electromechanical clutch mechanism for its transmission versus the mbusa speedshift, which I believe is torque converter based.
