Max vs. TL-s Chalk one up for the TYPES
Straight from motor trend.
"The Maxima SE six-speed we drove clearly falls on the sporty side of the sport/luxury continuum. Its 255-hp engine isn't as peaky as the Acura TL Type-S', one of its main competitors, although it doesn't quite have the Acura's long legs"

heh... i didn't even read the review earlier. but now that i've read it, sounds like Motor Trend isn't praising the Maxima too much... i personally have always liked Maximas... nice cars (even the old ones)... but then again, who really gives a shit what Motor Trend says? i sure don't...

One thing is fo sho! Nova is not about talkins shit about other cars as he truly has a good balance of respecting respectable cars and smashing shit cars. When we are together driving he comments on how nice so and so is when the average person would say shit this and shit that.
Trust me, if he stirred anything up it was all for fun...
BTW, NOVA exhaust makes your car sound more aggressive and I like it now! I'll still kick yo ashhhhhh !!!

They forgot to mention that the '02 Max isn't NEARLY as boring to drive as the 3.2TypeS. The automatic has got to be one of the most boring I've ever driven. At least on the post-98 benz's, the adaptive trannies would accomodate a more aggressive driving pattern and hold lower gears for longer periods of time before shifting .. this Acura auto tranny is all about fuel economy. That's why I'm thrilled the new Type S coupe has the 6-spd... kudos to Acura .. now how about some RWD to balance the market out against the G35??
