Ok so this morning I decide to go to the mall to pick up some new kicks. I cruise into the dead parking lot and proceed up the parking deck. It's like 10:45 in the morning and I don't even have the radio on. I'm just driving totally normal up to the top level where I can park in the middle of no where so no one will mess with my car. I see a cop car (Edison Police) come up on my tail as I get to the top of the deck. He proceeds to follow me till I park in my spot.

This ASSHOLE circles my car like 3X looking all hard and chewing gum with the sunglasses on. He then stops and gives my front plate a hard look. I get pissed off and roll down my window and yell "Whats Up". He tells me "You know what's up" I tell him "NO, WHY DON'T YOU FILL ME IN". I turn off my car, get out and approach the squad car. He tells me "Just watch your back cruising around here and stop speeding down my strip" I tell him "I wasn't speeding what are you shitting me?" This fucktard then tells me "I know those mufflers wont pass inspection do you want me to prove that?" I get all pissed and tell this ass. "They're Comptech and they would, I'm gonna go shopping you call the inspection van, any reason why you are fucking harassing me?". Fucktard then tells me that he could write me up for my mufflers (noise) and careless driving. I am REALLY PISSED now I know why people do irrational things when they are mad.

I told the cop "Dude, it's not a civic with a fart pipe at 150 decibels and I wasn't speeding what the fuck is your problem?". He tells me "Just admit you took that corner too fast" I told him "I didn't and call your supervisor". When I told him to call his supervisor he seemed to back off. He then said "Listen, I live around here and I've seen many deaths due to speeding vehicles so it's a pet peeve to see someone drive fast in a parking lot". I told the cop "Well I do speed but not today, not this morning and your harassing me. Either write me a ticket and call your supervisor or just go away". Fucktard tells me "behave in my mall" like he was fucking Clint Eastwood and he drives away. I got his badge number and am filing a complaint with the township.

Honestly guys, this time I did nothing wrong, this is why I really don't like local PD.

The real problem is that police sometimes get cocky and think they can bully people around. I don't go for that shit. EVERY time I get pulled over I am respectful and courteous and HONEST about my infraction, but when I am innocent or being harassed I'll fight like a cornered rat. Fucking Pigs around here need to do a shift in Newark, NJ so they see what real police work is about.

I hate cops like that. I have passed them, then they turn around, get on my ass for a few miles, run my plates, and then just make an illegal u turn in the middle of the interstate and go back the direction they were going in the first place. One cop followed me for a mile after i pulled from a toll booth and decided to pull me over for no seat belt which i was wearing and gave me crap about my car and wanted to search it. But there are alot of nice cops out there so dont hate them all

Hell yeah I used that language, I don't respect any cop who decides to pull me over and give me shit for no reason. Besides, it's his word vs. mine which in court he would normally win except for the fact that I work in the TOP TEN law firms in NY and NJ so if it's gonna go down that road I'm not worried. I know enough attorneys to blanket that crap. This cop KNEW he was wrong, as soon as I said SUPERVISOR it was like I was calling his parents on him, he backed off and left. Tommorow I'm swinging by Edison Town Hall and filing a complaint. Also calling the mayor of Edison to whom my company handles his servers.

I called my mall's director of security and reported harassment by one of the patrolling officers and you know what, I haven't seen him since.

I agree that it's tough to put up with their BS, but almost all of the city cops around here have a college education and/or military experience, so I certainly wouldn't consider them idiots. And, you must remember that almost all cop cars now have video cameras and sound recorders.

Heh... I've been pulled over before by neighborhood cops nowhere near their neighborhood because they thought I looked like I was driving too fast. I was 26 at the time, and the two officers looked younger than me. All they did was shake their fingers at me, so I shook it off as a couple of rookies throwing their new-found weight around. It would be nice if we didn't have to put up with that kind of stuff just because we have shiny wheels, but maybe it's a good thing. I know I'm much more alert when driving just because I'm watching out for them.

i was under the impression you cannot get in trouble for speeding on mall property..i mean, unless the owner of the private property calls the police and complains..i was caught doing all kinds of stupid shit with a Z3 a couple years ago in a parking lot, cop told me he was watching me for 15 minutes fuck around from far, but he only pulled me over when i left the plaza parking lot..and even then, he et me go with a warning, which i KNOW he wasnt just being nice about..


I would never talk to a police officer like that, because for me, a situation like that would put me in a real bad place with insurance and etc... Sometimes you have to swallow those MAN BALLS and act a little bitchy to the cops.. Show them you have fear, make them feel like thy are in total control and feared, and tehy will let you off thinking their being human. This is what I do, and the last 4 times i have got pulled over, no tickets, just warnings..

Lots of cops get a rush from their authority when you put them above you, and treat them like they are THE LAW and what they say GOES. Give them that cheap rush, and see what happens..

No, I also live about 5 minutes from Menlo...they are actual Edison police. I guess not much going on in Edison so they patrol the mall...at night there are at least 4 cruisers there at any given time.

I was tialed for about three miles on rt 422 West here in PA a few weeks ago.
Af far as jerkoff cops go, my mother had aproblem with one. She asked for directions and the Redneck yelled at her for no reason. She filed a complaint. He had those mullet mustaches that curl up at the sides. I would have done something stupid like peeled right there in front of him. Glad it was her and not me.
The asshole's name was Jan Jones. I give credit to my mom who had the courage to park the car and walk right up to the guy and ask for his badge number.
She also wrote a letter to the department of commerce, and the real estate company. We WERE thinking of buying a place down there, but now we're considering Avalon, NJ. I wanted her to call the TV station. This was over the Fourth of July last year. Yeah, I'd say about a quarter of the cops out there are jerks.

I understand that you were pissed, but i have to say that you were lucky that he decided not to go toe to toe with you. He could have made your day very difficult. Just try to keep cool next time. No sense in getting entangled with the law needlessly. When I get pulled over, it's "yes, officer", "no officer" or the sort. If I have a beef, I get their badge number and track them down later. Sometimes they are just trying to do their job and i can appreciate that. but when they step out of line it's best to handle things with a cool head. I speak with relatively close hand experience.

One thing cops do is stick together and since my car sticks out a little with the Streeteffectz stickers I am sure he'll be looking out. I don't regret pushing back on him but something tells me I made my life a little more difficult. To say it differently. "I think I shit a little too close to my own backyard and I might step in it". I got to learn to mouth off to cops in towns that I never will or rarely drive through, then again my latin and scottish temper will probably act up again anyways.

Ive ben to Ocaen Cith Md. many times and have got harrassed many times. When I was in high school we got pulled over in my friends car for drinking by an off duty cop in his civilian car. He made us pour out 3 cases of Milwaukee's Best on the side of the road! Its was devastating do a bunch of 17 year olds. 99% of the cops down there just work during the summer becuase everyone leaves in the fall. They are the bottom of the barrel renta cops.
They couldn't even get a real cop job (real tough)

She filed a complaint and his commanding officer was a women. It was great. Then she sent letters and faxes all over the place. The governor's office, department of commerce, some cops union. She did get a response from the governors in addition to the department of commerce. But I think the most effective thing was the complaint filed with his commander. I don't know if that goes on his record or what. But the fact is there are channels. You know how rednecks are... just go to Stangnet.
By the way... drinking at 17 is illegal...

First of all, if you're 17 you shouldn't have 1) been able to buy alcohol, 2) shouldn't have had 3 cases of it in the car, and 3) shouldn't have been drinking at all since it's illegal. Granted I wouldn't trust a cop if I had to, but his stopping you was much less an infraction than you're under-age drinking.

Secondly, as I said before I dislike cops more than most, but that was a wrong statement about them deserving to be shot...plain and simple...

I didn't say all cops deserve to get shot... The nutcases do. One can shoot you to death and put a gun he found in your hand after you're laying there quite easily. There really is nothing to prevent them from doing that. Video cameras in cruisers don't help. They just point the car in the other direction. Having someone with that much power is dangerous and a very good portion of police do abuse their power.
I believe more abuse happens with locals than staties. Little towns with two or three officers... one in each car. There isn't much citizens can do abot it either.
