I have to address an issue that's been bothering me since I purchased my car back in February. Since I didn't purchase the optional navigation system I get the advantage of having a nice little pull out note pad in my dash. In the front of this gadget is a little area that's designed to hold a pen. When I purched the car they gave me a nice notepad that fit in there perfectly, and a pen that was to go in there as well. However, the pen has a little clip on it that obstructs the drawer from being pulled out easily. I wish to start a petition to send to acura. I demand a redesigned pen that fits properly, and an underbody bodykit similar to that of the SEMA CL. Thank you.

Is this a major design flaw?

I think I need also to add the $6-$7 cup holder replacement to your major design flaw petition. We should force Acura to have a total recall campaign to correct this severe safety hazard. You do not want to get burns by the spill of Hot Coffee in an emrgency brake that ends in casualities, right?

What else other than your pen? you classify as a major design flaw?

Acura didn't design the pen. So you'll need to find out who the actual manufacturer of the pen is, then take your petty complaints about the pen being a major design flaw to someone who really care.

Other than the pen, I have another topic worthy of discussion. My lumbar adjustment lever rubs against my center consol and squeeks. It's driving me crazy.

Roll the pen a bit so that the clip faces the opposite direction (I forget if it's suppposed to face down or up). Used to drive me crazy too.

Put the clip side down or twist to the side and it will clear without any problems. You could buy a different pen or modify this one to a clip-less configuration. I personally like what Tim did with the hidden flip up 7" TV monitor. Might have SE set that up for me someday.
