M6 Polargs question

I heard from someone here at the forum that they had to take out their bulbs because they began to melt the housing or something like that. Has anyone else seen this problem?

The M6 isn't hot enough to melt the housing

I think with any plastic, they get dirty and age. Have you ever seen plastic age after being exposed to UV light over time? It turns to a dull color... but the Poloarg M6 has given me no problems.

I've had mine in for about 4 months and doing a lot of night driving. I don't think
the these bulbs get as hot as most think.

hummm, might have to do a little testing
and post some results.

No probs. to report here.

I have had mine since the day I got my car (april) and had no problems. I live in N.O. and it gets pretty hot here. There is a slight discoloration right above the bulb but nothing to cause concern.

i had my m6's in for about a few months now and one of them already burnt out...what a p.o.s!...i think i'm gonna try the PIAA's, the new ones, i dont remember the model #....anyone got them???...the only thing i dont like about the m6's is that they are kinda yellowish when they first turn on, but then they match the HID's after they've been on for a while...anyone else notice this too? its like it has to warm up or soemthing...

The Xteme White 18 watt PIAAs are 19224s. I've had them in for about a month or two and everything's fine so far.

Which bulbs are the brightest super white to make our fog light brightest? So far I've heard of Polarg and PIAA, with the Polarg getting a little better review. And how about the signal lights? Where can I get the brightest super white signal bulbs? Thanks for your input!!!!!!!

I only know of one person who has done an actual comparison of the PIAA 19224s and the Polarg M6s and they liked the PIAAs better. I'd say they're both just as bright, but the colors are a bit different. The same would go for the turning signals since the different manufacturers tend to have the same wattages.

probably a stupid question, but are we even allowed (legally) to have superwhite signal lights? are you talking front or rear?

I'm sure he meant for the front turning signals. Legally, I'm not sure, I guess it depends on your local laws, but I didn't change mine b/c I didn't want a stupid cop pulling me over for having some bluish bulbs in there. Even if it is isn't illegal, you know cops will find anything to harass you for, so I didn't want to take the chance. I just changed the bulbs in the fog lamps b/c the stock ones just looked too ugly and the blue bulbs don't really stand out much down there when they're off, but I know they will if you put them in as turning signals.
