Ls-v8

Got a chance to run against a Lincoln LS-V8 tonight (around 11:30pm, freeway no one around). We started out around 70mph, I was in 3rd and hit it to see if he wanted to run, he did. He was on my back bumper, the whole way, maybe inched up a little until 110mph. I shut it down as we were approaching other vehicles. We did it again (once again no one around), started at 70 mph, up to 120mph, dead even. I would have liked to run from a standstill, but he exited. Oh well, it was fun. Still debating on those headers???

There are two V-8's on the LS. The ones made before '03 had only 250 hp. The ones after '03 had 280 hp.

There's not as fast as I thought they'd be. I raced one in my previous car, '93 SHO 5spd(220hp) and neither of us gained on each other from 75-110. He had a custom grill and tips, not sure what he had done under the hood but it was an LSE V8 badge on the back.

They're not blazing fast in a straight line, but their handling is unreal. Find some twisties and he would leave you in the dust. Their handling is ranked up their with the 540s.
