looking for something new
Any suggestions on a nice car for around $20k... preferably high teens. Need something new, going to be driving a lot with my new job and all. Besides the RSX, anything worthy of my money? Maybe an american car? How are the Pontiacs?

you can get one for about 13000, that leaves you with 7000 for mods!!! and that is a hell of a lot of mods!!!!
no point in buying a new car just for commuting, or that's what i think. and if your work is paying for the mileage you dont have to worry about paying for gas.

oh ok, well if you are looking for something new for that price, why not go with the civic SI? RSX with tax and license will come to about 25K, i think the Civic SI will hover around 20K won't it?
i do kinda like the older grand prix gt's they looked pretty sport. i havent' seen the new ones yet.
but the neon srt sounds like a good one 2 for the price.

I like new Pontiacs too and considered a GT before purchasing my CL-S, but I factored in how it would wear and depreciate over 5 years and passed on it. Even with the Acura's higher initial price, it has to be cheaper to own in the long run and, mine still feels brand new and 55k miles. No Pontiac will feel that way after 50k. Consider those things in your purchase decision.

I had a g-am as a loaner and it was ass. Handled like crap, forget about trying to take any kind of corner in that car, and the V6 SUCKED!!!
Car felt very very cheap and it has about the WORST interior ive had the displeasure of sitting in. the gran prix isnt much better, my father usually is given one as a loaner when he is in town on business.
I would glady take a ford focus again before ever touching another pontiac and i HATE ford too. so....
your druthers.
