Very nice...how's the quality of them, are they still looking solid? They look pretty good from what I can see. Let us know how they are once you get them on.

Those do look good.

Wipe them down with brake cleaner to get all the residue off before you fire them up othewise that residue will be there forever. I've also heard that if you shut it down and let them cool when they get to the bronze color you want, they have a better chance of staying that way instead of turning black. I never had a chance to try it for myself.

The headers will be a nice power add-on.

When you hear the wooshing sound, don't worry, its the exhaust flowing through the headers because they aren't as restrictive as the OEM.

I believe the DC isn't a direct bolt-on, a pipe has to be bent in order to make it fit. not so with the XS. XS is about half the price of the DC. Reliability isn't completely decided on the XS since they're still new to most of us but I've not heard of anyone having a problem yet. I've had mine on for about 6 months with no problems yet.

Nice pick up.

If only they sent me the correct part (sent Probe headers instead) and had better customer service , those would also be on my car.

there's no replacement for displacement, more torque would still be nice, but don't think the wheel hop would allow for it.

I guess what I don't get is that why can't you use the original bolts that came with the car? Do the XS headers come with new bolts or something?

I just ordered my comptech headers and can't wait to get them installed. Haven't decided if i'm going to do them myself or not. Aside from getting new gaskets, should I get new bolts when I install the comptech headers too?

Because the bolts from the car wont work, and the ones in the kit are cheap and small. You will need M10 x 30 or 40, 1.25 or 1.50 pitch or an equivalent English size.

I would assume that the comptech units come with proper bolts?

Ahhh, didn't know that about the XS headers.

Just checked the install instructions for the Comptech headers and it states:

"The exhaust manifold to engine hardware (self-locking nuts) will be reused"

Looks like I should be fine. The only thing I may need to get are the engine to header gaskets as the headers don't come with that.
