photo optics play funny games with the brain,,, any way I see in the bottom photo the 18 hash mark in the middle of the flange edge. witch makes his 17 7/8 a good call.

UPDATE:
Yesterday, I spent maybe an hour and a half loosening all the nuts and bolts. today, spent 3 hours removeing the stock parts and installing the C/T headers and starting all the bolts. Tomorrow, I will have a friend help me tighten the down pipe bolts. I need someone to hold the top of the bolt while I tighten the nut from the bottom. and the rear headers are a bitch to get to.
and yes Scalbert, my wife shot those pics. I have no idea what she was focusing on!
the first pic is right at 18" the lower on is hard to make out with the flash, but its right at 17 7/8"
and I do have a big compressor and impact wrench, but I'm working at 9:00 at night! can wake the neighbors!:o
I'll take pics when its all done. of my car and my shop![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks!

The engine cover looks nice! I have a black car so I can't change too much, but the red looks hot!
You will die when you have the headers! 20-30whp makes a big difference!

you like? if you notice, I taped off the center part to leave it black. I didn't want it all red.

Update:
FINISHED!!!
:P
Just came home, tightened a few more downtube bolts that I couldn't do alone. Wiped everything down the best I could. and drove it. not too much difference yet. feels strong only because I've been driving around in the RSX
but on the freeway, in fifth gear going 60mph at about 2500-3000rpm, I floor it and nothing happens.
must not be ready yet.
So my question is,
Do i need to reset the ECU? or is that just a myth and I just need to drive the car around a few days and let the computer learn?
I will try to get to the track next friday, see if I can better my pathetic time![Big Grin](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Thanks again guys!

I don't have the headers yet, but from everyone's feedback they should be noticable in the high-redline RPMs, not 2500-3k.
Not sure if the computer also has to re-adjust as it did with the icebox?

Okay, when im doing about 65mph in sixth, i floor it and absolutely nothing happens. before I put in the headers, it would atleast start to accelerate slowly. now, it does nothing but bog. I guess thats the trade off for haveing bigger pipes.

No, something else might be going on. There was no torque loss anywhere in the rev band with the headers added.
65 MPH in 6th will not yield much acceleration but it should give some. Do you have access to a scan tool?? I am curious about some of the values in the ECU when at cruise and WOT.
