First id just like to state the obvious, NO my lip doesnt fit 100%, NO i am not trying to be JDM, NO im not trying to upstage anyone. With that out of the way I simply wanted to try something different, it is still in the rough stages and i plan on working on it more tomorrow but i have some assignments i have to catch up on for school.

Enough talk, here are the pics, no its not a TL kit, and yes i did it with a friend (first attempt at anything "body" related)










on the drivers side i messed up with the drilling, and might have to redo it, i dont know if i will keep this on the car for long but for now it looks alright, plan to put some black sealant or caulking right where the lip meats the bumper to fill in some minor gaps.

mini update, by the weekend it should be finished and looking pretty good.











theres a little nipple right in the middle where the lip was cut and bent which i still have to shave off, but for now, thats it.

the angle of the front pic is a bit weird making it look funnier then it actually does in real life.

I'll let people know what lip i used when i get it done till im completely happy with it.

i'd say it looks stretched to fit. would look much better if you cut and spread it wider to give it more flare on the sides. currently the sides look to be pulled in to much (judging from the front view).

yea i get what you guys mean, but i think the lower angle of the pic makes it looks weirder then it actually is. This involved no cutting, just a bit of heating and bending, i really dont want to cut it in pieces. So far i like it, not 100% happy but yea, if worst comes to worst i'll take it off .

i deleted that picture because i feel it doesnt represent how the lip actually looks from the front, my driveway is on a slant and that picture was taken on up upwards angle making it look a bit messed up.

we're just saying it doesn't look as good as the 99-01 tl lip kit, and you can make it look better if u cut it and modify it to fit correctly.... but its your car if you like it, we're happy for u =D

Has anyone actually gone to the store and test fit a few lips to see what might fit best? Instead of waiting for someone else to do something and then just asking "what lip is that"

You certainly are cocky for buying a lip that requires no modifications to fit on the CL bumper.. And your work is certainly not worthy of keeping secret.

p.s. People have done much more impressive R&D/work, which actually legitemately could have been held secret and shared with everyone. I'm talkin about 3.5L conversion, TL aero kit modifications, etc.

There's been countless other people who have done the same, and revealed their "secrets"... Lot of people have spent the time investigating things and shared their knowledge...

It's about being a contributing member here... I'm sure you're gotten a lot more info from the forums here then you've given in your short time here...
