Let's talk headlights

question...r there varying degrees of, i guess intensity of headlights?? it's kinda hard to explain...our headlights are cool, but r there Xenon's that are better than stock??? brighter?? worth replacing?? in addition, my bright lights HAVE to go...the solaris 9005's/9006's...they good enough??? first off, they are like $80!!! second, after searching the forums on this topic, im more confused than ever...i got like 3 different viewpoints...they're a match to stock low beams, they're not even close to stock, but they blend well, they're not as bright as stock high's

i'm goin nuckin futs hea somebody gimme a valium!!

I got Solaris's to match the low beams but as you said they don't match very well. I think they look better than yellow stock high's when off. I love coming up to my car during the day and seeing to blue eyes looking very mean on my golden biotch. I think others will work just as well but Solaris was the first for me and I'm sticking with them.

The highbeams for our cars are 9005. Personally, I put my PIAA bulbs in (had them from my CL) and they are close enough. I'm thinking of getting the Solaris just b/c the blue headlight housing would match my car!!

I'd like to get the blue high-beams as well but am super paranoid about my headlight warranty...I realllllly don't want to pay to replace the HIDs. Does just adding new highbeams affect the warranty at all?

what if u just replace the bulb?? isn't that kinda the point?? i'd b willing to sacrifice not having the blue housing if it's gonna void my headlight warranty (it'll also save me some $$)

You only have to replace the bulb and you get a blue tint from the reflection.

It looks like this:

These are the high-beams. You don't want to touch the low beam HID's.

The addition of any blue bulb (Hyper Whites) in the high beams will produce the above effect.

I got the PIAA's because...I can't really remember why. I think they were cheaper and since these are all expensive, no one really had a comparison going on. Anyways, I like them and they are brighter than the OEMs and I got them at autobulbdepot.com.
