Thumbs up Let there be light (Finally)

I finally changed my ballast which wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be... and when the dealer told me my ballast was blown, they told me the bulb was too (which I found out today it wasn't) so I ordered some 6000K and put those in too. So now I might put my OEM bulbs up for sale since they both work and I got the new set... I'm not sure yet. Anyways... I think it looks pretty good, but I'm gonna get back under there tomorrow and unplug those stupid "fog lights" cuz now they really look like sheeit compared to the headights. Let me know what ya think...

Not sure... I really wanted the Ultinon's but couldn't really shell out 200 right now for bulbs, so I bought these off eBay from someone who had 100% positive feedback and a guarantee on em. Can't say I'm unhappy for 80 bucks...

That's a good score for the bulbs...yup...when I go 6000K the road lamps are history and I'm putting in '03 CL blanks.

I understand and appreciate your concern for how the car looks. But don't forget, the real purpose of good headlamps is so you can see well down the road at night when you're driving "briskly". How they look is completely secondary. Esspecially if you live anywhere that has a population of deer.

Good price on the bulbs. How much did the ballast set you back? Get some PIAA 19224's for $12-$15 a pair.

Yeah I hear ya... I'm gonna drive it tonight and see how well they are on the road... No deer here in FL though... maybe some little tiny ones. Now If I move back home to IA, that's a different story.

I got the ballast from a guy in the black market for 100 bucks so that worked out nicely. I've heard those 19224's will burn your housings, but I've also heard that it just burns the top and you can't see it anyways... they look good on your car though so I might pick some up.

Here is the link to where I bought my bulbs in case anyone is interested

Not really. Personally I didn't like them but they never damaged my housings. I prefer the yellow look. Also, the blue coating on 2 sets of 19224 I had came off and was trapped inside the housings. It was a pain in the ass to clean.
