Lemon Law = 2003 CL-S 6 speed
After my CL was in the shop for almost seven weeks due to the transmission failure, I filed under Florida's Lemon Law. I had my arbitration today. The result is I am trading my 2001 CL-S for a new 2003 CL-S 6 speed before April 1, 2002.
I have an image of the judgment, but I'm having trouble resizing it so the specifics are: I have to pay $3,500 for the use of my current CL-S. That's not bad considering I will have had the car for 16 months and will have 25,000 miles. That's .14 per mile. In exchange, I get one of the first 2003 6 speeds to hit the area. That car will be substituted on my car loan in place of my current CL-S so I continue paying my current loan.
This agreement was actually reached between myself and the Acura rep without the need for the arbitrators to render their decision. Even though I am a lawyer, the Lemon Law process was very simple. Anyone can do it.

Happy CL-S Pilot
I should have leamoned my car back in July 200.... However, I did not even thouh I was entitled for a brand new CLS....
Life goes on... hunting for a better vehicle.... S4 in sight or next generation TL if it ever approaches the M3/S4 specs...
Good luck with your 6-Speed CLS....

Glad to hear you got that issue resolved to (what I assume is) your satisfaction!
And hey, no more worries about the tranny crapping out again...
... just don't blow the engine while downshifting!

Good grief, spell check was never needed so badly.

Nashua managed to stumble this out with his fingers:
