Lease End ?

I think I read on here before that AHFC allows $1500 towards damage when returning a car on a lease. My lease is almost up.My tires are pretty much shot.Would I have to get tires before I turn it in or would they just take it out of the $1500?

Go to www.ahm-ownerlink.com and register. It tells you what's allowable on lease return and what's not. You are given $0 credit on return damages - they expect the car back well maintained and sellable. Routine items like two door dings per panel less than the size of a dime are allowed. You can either replace the bald tires or they will. It'll be cheaper if you do it. Make sure you get a written appraisal at lease end so there are no surpises after you return the car. Leaving the car at the dealer leaves you open to any and all charges they may choose to apply. And if you don't pay them, kiss your credit goodbye. You should only lease a car if you plan on taking care of it.
