I'm coming up on 30k miles and need a new set of tires. I was wondering if the people that are using Kumho 215/45/17's notice that their speedo's are off? Not only Kumho's of course, but any tire with those diminsions. Also, does anyone know if a different size tire will effect VSA and ABS? Thanks!

 

Run searches ! These topics have been beaten to death. I've warned "what a pain in the ass" to replace these awful Michilens !
Why 215 and not 225 or 235 ? I just put 225/45/17 and no big deal. Speed of .2 seconds or so, no VSA issue that I see.

Acura Care, well, they are into the stock tires, but remember even stock tires wear down to: (25.4" - (10/32" * 2))

However, the folks around here with 225/45-17 and 235/45-17 are doing just fine in the VSA and NAVI department. I can assure you that the .5% speedo difference on my 235s (see sig below) have had no ill effect on the NAVI and VSA (the ramble about this would take pages...)

IMO -- the 225/45-17s and 235/34-17s are well sorted around here (please see Chod's FAQ and search on 225, 235, etc) *and* the 215 in the 45 series is getting a bit low in the load rating department.
