Koni sucks!!!!

So I'm in the process of installing my H&R Sports and Koni struts right now. Everything is going well until I try to fit the stock bumpstop onto the Koni. Easy fix: I just made the hole in the bumpstop larger to fit over the Koni. This doesn't get to me cause I expect that with fitting stock parts on aftermarket components.

What pissed me off was the washers for the nut that goes on top of the strut tower Koni provides do NOT fit. They give me the stock size washer. F*ck....I don't need the damn stock-size washer. I paid enough for them to provide me with the right size washer. To think they should know what size washer THEIR struts require. I'm so f***ing pissed right now

Here's a pic of the washers they sent me. The one on the right is the one I've been drilling, but it still doesn't fit!!!! F*ck!!!!!! This should've been a 4 hour project. I'm on hour 2 now and still haven't finished the first strut assembly yet!!

Just called their tech service. Guy was really nice about everything....even encouraged me to keep milling out the washer. He said they'll overnight the washers for me.

I'm feeling a little better now. Good customer service always makes me happy.

Should not be!! the Konis should come with the correct hardware to install them .Call the Koni people and ask them to supply you with the correct install kit.

Update

Thanks for letting me vent guys. I just got finished drilling the other washer so the front is almost done....another 15 minutes or so. Then I must tackle the rear.

Stupid me was holding the washer in one hand and drilling with the other. I drilled the 2nd one in about 5 minutes using a clamp.

Back to work now

Mark, you wanna come over and help??

I came within an hour of selling it. Then the person who was suppose to buy my car calls me an hour before we were suppose to meet at the dealership to call everything off. I was PO'ed that day. Could've been driving an s2k right now.

Yeah, same happened to me.

The entire set of front nuts, washers and cup shaped washers were too small for the front shock.

I was shocked. Just had to haul ass to Home Depot.

I finally finished around 10. Car looks so much better now, but I'm scraping every time I enter or exit the driveway. Oh well, I'll just have to kill the lawn. I'll try to post pics after I wash the car tomorrow.
