Keys Acura Van Nuys Service - Top Notch AGAIN!!

Once again Elias and the technicians come through when put to the test. I went in with the terrible creeking sound when the suspension was under typical load going over speed humps, up driveway uprons, and while applying the brakes. We all thought it was perhaps swaybar bushings needing grease. They did that only to make it worse. I went back and left the car for a 1.5 days. They lubed and greased all bushings etc. Didn't fix it. Then they found that a rubber mount was installed incorrectly on the exhaust pipe! They reversed it and WA-LA the creeking noise was GONE! Caused reverb etc through the suspension. Car only has 11k on it so I know it was done at the factory because when I took possession of the car the creeking was there at 2300 miles, but attributed it to the car sitting for 3 years and the grease dried up.

All done under warrranty! No questions asked. TIP TOP NOTCH SERVICE DEPARTMENT. Major thumbs up and would recommend to all Acura owners!

nice, but the true test would be if you had modifications and how they dealt with the same problem. Imagine having springs and they refuse to even look at it, not knowing of the noise was coming from the suspension or exhasut. nice to hear about their cooperation tho...

I had my transmission changed with no problem. They have great costomer service! The finished the job in about 4 days under the warranty. Eddo (costomer service rep) was very helpfull.

Little old lady from Pasadena situation. Barely, drove it, then passed away. I was in the right place at the right time to buy a 2003 CL Navi, with 2300 miles during Thanksgiving 2006. As for Mods, I have Comptech Header Kit. Still no problem because they believed me when I truthfully stated the noise was there before the headers. Elias remembered I mentioned this when I first brought the car in just after buying it. I did this to change all the oils, brake fluid, lube, etc. But since it would require giving up the car for the day, I passed at the time.

I've heard both good and bad stories about Keyes Acura so I guess its not different than anywhere else. I had a very similar problem with my car and the dealer I purchased it from Valencia Acura took care of it and I had to leave it there for a couple of days also. My car is modified and it was fixed under warranty.

I took my 97 3.0 CL to Keyes Van Nuys when my CEL came on last Fall. It was my first visit to a dealership in CA as my car was purchased in NJ (where I'm from). The service was superb. My car was in and out within 1.5 hours.

From that moment on they bugged me incessantly to buy a new car through them due to my high mileage (138,600). I received endless phone calls, numerous letters, and post cards. I was annoyed to say the least. 'No' didn't seem to be a word they understood.

My boyfriend brought the car back to Keyes for an oil change last month. Keep in mind, my boyfriend's father and step-father are mechanics. He (boyfriend) knows cars as well as they do. I do have a mechanic out here for major work, but most of the time my boyfriend and his step-dad work on my car. He would've changed the oil for me however law school got in the way. I digress.

It took Keyes FOUR HOURS to change my oil. Are you kidding?! When they return my vehicle, they hand over a laundry list of problems (of course) to my boyfriend - who played dumb. He questioned the salesman on every problem listed - the guy had no clue as to what he was talking about. When my boyfriend asked what the estimated charges would be, the answer was "a few thousand dollars" and that I "might as well buy a new car." He told them no thanks, paid for the oil change, and left. And of course, the influx of "BUY A NEW CAR NOW" began... again.

I took the laundry list to my mechanic of 15 years (in NJ) and he just laughed. My mechanic can build a Honda/Acura from scratch he's been working on them so long - needless to say I trust him. He has been babied my car since Day 1. As per my mechanic, the stealership literally made up problems with my car. They weren't making any money on me, so I guess they thought they'd rack up the charges. Never again. I wouldn't trust them at all.

The funny thing is about a week after I posted that I decided I would try Keyes Acura for the first time on my 2001 CLS and they suck the very same thing happened they had my car for 4 hrs and not only did they come to me with a laundry list of things they wait till I'm there to pick up to spring it on me instead of calling me while their servicing the car. They suck and not only will I never take my car their again but I filed a complaint with Acura Customer Care. Like you I had another mechanic check out what they said and only 1 thing on that list was accurate the rest were just ploys to make more money.
