Anybody using K&N OEM filter?? I bought one and installed in the stock air box. I measured it decreases my CL's MPG -> 17MPG (instead of 19.5 MPG).

Anybody have same experience??

BTW, I can't really feel the horsepower increase.........

 

I have one. I didn't notice any significant change in MPG after installation. It looks like you are quoting city mileage - I think even those that got MPG improvement with the K&N only noticed it with 1 or 2 increase in MPG on highway miles.

Even if it did provide an extra 1 - 2 HP, I would doubt you (or anyone else on this board) can feel that subtle of a difference.

Keep in mind, our cars are new. Mileage will vary until the engine is fully broken in.

I got the K&N primarily because it is good for the lifetime of my car with little maintainance. If I get an extra MPG or two, that is icing on the proverbial cake. If I get 1 - 2 HP bonus, who cares?
