Just ordered the Random Tech Cat
I just ordered the Random Technology cat, part # 822008. I will be doing a dyno run before, and after this mod. Hopefully we will see a big improvement.

The reason why I am doing this is because, one person I know gained 17hp on the dyno. A few people on the board did not believe those gains, so I will do my own dyno runs. The weird thing is, with the Headers, and Random Tech Cat the person gained 37 hp to the wheels total. Even if I gain 7hp to the wheels, that will make it one of the best things to do to your car for $236. Hopefully I will get my car dynoed next week.

Yes,
But the part I ordered is made for the Accord. The only modification that needs to be done is extend the o2 sensor by 6"

When I receive the part, I will call a local dyno shop, and get the part installed. i will do 2-3 runs before the cat, and 2-3 runs after the cat. I will also take note on any noticeable sound difference.

I figure someone has to be the guinea pig =) Worst case scenario, I put back the stock cat on, and sell the part.

syncivic,
I just talked to the shop that installed the cat on the other person's type s. They had 2 problems. 1. The o2 sensor had to be extended, and 2. They had to use different bolts for the cat, since the ones they got from random tech, stripped easily. I definately keep you all updated on my findings.
