A month ago my 2003 CL-S started "fish biting" (bucking while accelerating between 30-40 and 50-60mph. I brought it to Acura and they covered the tranny and they did my timing belt / water pump for $900.

The problem is still there, It will always start kicking while accelerating from 50-60ish mph. I can push the petal down harder and get up to 65mph and it goes away. I also have a rough idle (rpms go up and down).

I am going to replace my plugs, battery, and clean my air control valve this weekend. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Take it back to Acura before you screw around with it. If it's the tranny they should cover it.

IAC problem

It's the most common, giving the symptoms of bucking, stalling or RPM shuddering.

I'm going to give it a good cleaning and if that don't work then I'll replace it. Do you think I should just skip the cleaning and put a new one in?

If that does not do it then I'm gonna go with Zip's suggestion and call my dealer up on Monday and play the tranny card again.
