Just got my Timing Belt Replaced in Spring, Texas

Just got my timing belt replaced at 131k at The Honda Car Shop (HCS) here in Spring on friday... they have great service... they showed me the parts when it was done and have a good warranty...the shop was super clean and organized... and the price was really good too! They buy all their parts from Acura / Honda for repairs...

The owner has raced and repaired foreign cars fpr a number of years...and his son drives a modified, lowered civic...

....and... I DO NOT agree or suggest with waiting this long to get the belts replaced... God just blessed me...

Got lucky with the belt not breaking. Sounds like you got good service.

There was no cracking on the belt... but I can say that there was a glassy...shinny appearance to both belt edges... it just looked scary!!!

I totally lost an engine in a 300zx from a broken timing belt... was not a good call!!!

...yup service was great!

The new owner will soon discover that.

I just changed mine at 150k miles and it still looked brand new. I could probably have set the new one and old one side by side and you might have had trouble picking which was which.

I'm probly going to do mine next spring. I've got 109,000 miles on my 02 CL-S and really don't have the money right now. I hope it lasts another 10,000-15,000

Same. My CL-S just went over 105K and I don't have the money to do it right now. Hoping it will last me another while.

I have been on AZ for a while... I am sure that someone here HAS blown a motor due to the TB breaking, but over the past 30K miles and a year and some months, while I thought I was pushing mine too hard, no one came forward and admitted to doing it....I am praying that both of do as well or better than I did on mileage / time until ur TB is fixed!!!!
