I went to the dealership today to have some things looked at --

1. The door trim piece (on the outside, in the middle) on the driver's door was losing its clearcoat and was peeling off.

2. The black tape trim on the front passenger door was peeling off.

3. Center caps were peeling and rusting through (how the hell does plastic rust? Leave it to Acura to make that happen).


Acura of Troy shares the body shop with Mike Savoie Chevrolet next door because they are owned by the same owner(s). I've never had a problem with their body shop, even when I had my Tahoe and had it serviced there. Of course, they agreed to repaint the trims and it was very pleasant. The manager of the body shop is really cool and has always been nice to me; he knows my car and treats it well which I really appreciate.

But Acura of Troy... God, I hate that place. Every time I pull up in there, I get a stiff face. Never a smile, even though I always smile first. I don't think they like me or my car.


Whatever. With all the unpleasant dealership stories on the forums lately, I though I would add my own, too.

I've had a similar distaste for that particular dealership, but in the metro area, IMHO, they all suck and are very difficult to deal with. Who did you talk too?

I dunno but I've been happy with the service dept. of Pohanka Acura in Chantilly, VA.
I bought my 03 CL-S (and my TSX) at Radley in Falls Church but that place is terrible for service. I've been going to pohanka since the second oil change to the CL in mid '02.
