u can take out the mid muffler and resonator. beware of the tranny problems. dont push it to hard unless u have money for a new trans, just in case.

Werd. At 18 I hope he and his parents are prepared to buy a new car/transmission when it goes out from running it hard a couple times. Also have to be aware that any damage incurred at the track isn't covered by insurance. Also be prepared to run disappointing 1/4 mile times. It's not a fast car.

Way to be the Debbie Downer...lol

Enjoy the car man. Its fun to drive, looks great! With a few small mods after your CAI you'll find even more to enjoy with the car. Take care of it, check the FAQ's section and don't be afraid to ask questions (after you search). Welcome

if he knows how to drive and depending on how the car was maintained and tires that are on their, he should be in the high 14s

i was running a 14.95 with only a k&n drop in filter, intake and exhaust resonator removed, on shitty oem michelin tires. spare tire and tools removed. ss mode vsa off

If he had a J32a2, wouldn't that mean that he has the engine for the 6-Speed? I thought auto's had the J32a1 engine? He has a 2001 which means it's automatic.

Copy the html from the pic, paste it in a post, and surround it [img] [/img]

Or you can click the little yellow box with a mountain during posting and paste the link there. It will automatically add the img tags.
