Just debadged and took off pinstripe NEED HELP

the outline is probably unavoidable due to the car's exposure to the sun and weather. i used a clay bar and waxed after debadging and it helps, but I can tell where the badge and letters were. waxing definitely evens out the difference in the paint.

when the stripes or other things are on the paint and you remove them you the factory uses a double sticky tape. so when it is off you will need to use paint thiner to get the sticky residue off. after that you need to get some condpound and hand buff those areas and wax when completed. if you do this correctley their will be no outline

paint thinner is to harsh
THATS A BUNCH OF BS. I have worked at a body shop here for 3 years and beleive me it wont hurt the paint unless the paint is fresh or has been repainted and the people who have done it did a bad job.

No pinstripes here, but i can tell you when i removed the badge on my trunk i still had the "3.2cl type s" dirt outline of where it was along with a bit of the sticky tape.
I got most of the sticky tape off by heating it and using a fingernail but i was sweating the dirt outline because i just couldnt get it off and i refused to use gasoline...
I ended up using a PC random orbit polisher with an orange cut pad and a little swirl mark remover -- medium speed and a few minutes later and it looked brand new.
