Jens, Wayne, or anyone that might know whats up!....

The check engine light is on, the VSA light is on, and the triangle with an exclamation point is on. I drove to the dealer but the service manager was gone. The receptionist told me itwas okay to drive home.

On the way home, everytime I let my foot of teh gas it really hesitated, almost like it was braking. At stopslights, it felt likeit was going to stall. I never waited to see if it would stall, but it felt damn close. I put it in N and gave a little gas til the light changed. Sorry for such a long post, but this is the first problem I've had so far.

You actually believed a receptionist? What do receptionists know?

According to what I've been reading so far, it seems like you are the next transmission innocent victim. Good luck.

Don't jump the the worst conclusion just yet. Although what you describe could be the tranny- it could aslo be in the computer system. It might be a blown fuse- we have seen a couple of instances of this. You need to have it checked as soon as possible.

Good Luck

Charley Thomas on the Gulf Freeway.

As far as the service department I don't have anything negetive to say. The sales and finance guys...its another story for another thread.

Have you heard anything (good/bad) about these guys SilverKnight, or anyone in Houston for that matter?

I havent heard anything about Charlie Thomas
I took my car to John Eagle and got nothing but praise about these guys. Ask for Eric Younger and tell him Michael with a Silver CL-S send you. He's been taking good car of my car and I'm sure he'll do the same to yours. Good luck.

Hey Wayne, I just got it back with a new computer. I asked the service manger what caused it to go bad, he said he has no idea. In your experience with broke computers, have you guys ever figured out why the went bad?

What do they have to do to change the computer, does it involve dis-assembling the dash? I ask because it seems to be rattleing a lot louder from somewhere in the front. It never did that before.

BTW, he assured me it had nothing to do with the tranny.

DpCls- Computers go bad for a number of reasons- we really can't tell. Considering the enviroment it is in, they hold up pretty well. It is usually a component or connection failure- we don't open them up. It is located in the dash in front of the console and a little to the right.

BTW- glad to hear thats all it was- everyone is always so quick to think they have a bad tranny these days

Wayne, do you think changing it could have caused a few rattles? Like I said in my last post, its rattleing now, and I don't think it did before

THanks.
