Jacked up my CL-S to change winter to summer wheels.....
Last November when I went to change wheels for winter, I noticed that my....huh.....kickstand thingy was bent. It's the little tab used to jack up our cars. My front drivers-side tab was bent. At the time I secured the jack safely underneath it and went ahead and change my wheels with no problems.
Last week I changed back over to my stock wheels with summer tires. I put the jack underneath the bent tab, started to jack it up and....thud....the stupid tab got pushed up into the frame. Has this ever happened to anyone else? It was like it totally disappeared.
Now what do I do???? With my fathers guidence, I ended up jacking up the car the old-fashioned way; on a piece of the frame/suspension. He kept an eye on it while I quickly changed the wheel out. My next problem will be when the dealership goes to put my car on the lift, there will be no support tab there. Any suggestions or has this happened to anyone else???
