j32a2 s/c 8-9lbs spark plugs

What spark plugs are you using w the j32 s/c set up? I was using HKS super fire plugs s30i on my j30 s/c set up, but it seems like you cant get the HKS plugs anymore due to them pulling out of the US. So what Denso or NGK should I be using?

Thanks

Denso IK 22 plugs for the stock pulley. That's from the comptech checklist.

I have the high boost pulley on the alternator and the high boost pulley on the end of the s/c shaft. Should I run w/ the IK 20?

First, I'd tune the IK22's with 'ONLY' the altenator HBP on 93 pump gas (if you can get it in your locale). Come back here and post results/whether the tune holds with the set-up you are using and the stock ECU.

Then, tune the IK22's with the additional s/c pulley, 8-9lbs on 93 pump gas, trying to minimize detonation. Post back here the revelations you encounter.

Then decide if IK20's are necessary.

Good Luck.

Alright. The engine is going back in the Accord Saturday. I have some loose ends to take care of still. One being my rc310 injectors from my J30 engine are taller then the j32 and the fuel rail bolt holes are about an 1/8 higher then the holes on the runners. Im gonna run it by a welding shop and see if they can weld me a little piece of aluminum tab on the bottom of the fuel rail so I can drill a hole through it and bolt it down in the stock runner hole. I ported my j30 intake opening and the j30 s/c elbow to match the j32a2 throttle body gasket. I also ported the bottom of the intake to match my thermal block gasket. I like the design flow of the j30 intake better then the j32, and I had a water jacket made for the top of the j30 intake to help remove some heat.

I think Im gonna get the IK20's because they are the cross reference of the HKS s30i's and have worked very well in the j30 s/c set up I was running. I plan on going w/ an after market ecu (probably an AEM or something) so I can utilize the 7200 rpm instead of my 6200 rev limiter that my Accords ecu has. Im hoping to run a 12.5-12.6 w/ the AEM ecu and a 12.8-12.9 w/ the Accord ecu. My best time w/ my j30 was 13.700. I will still be using the Accords 4 speed auto which will put me in the top of 3rd when I cross the line, if it hold, lol.

I assume you mean an AEM piggyback, as the EMS won't control your transmission.

Yeah, havn't gotten that far, but I would like to raise my rev limiter and change my shift points to about 7k rpm as well as tune the rest of the car.

Havnt gotten the AEM Fic in do to some confusion on mag sensors. Should be here this week w/ 02 wideband. I did run the IK20's for about 500 miles, then switched to the IK22's. Did notice a improvement on my low end up to 3500 when V-tec kicks in. Anyone want the IK 20's, I will sell them for $20 shipped, paid $60 for them. Running the s/c pulley on 93 pump gas. Havnt had any detonation. Hopefully will be able to dyno tune this week after parts come in.

I might be interested in them. I just need the ones for the regular pulley for now. Looks like gnuts said I need the IK 22's though. If we can confirm I can use these ill take them off your hands. How many miles on them btw?

They have between 300-500 miles. I only had them installed for about 2 weeks.

I used them w/ current set up which is 8-9lbs of boost. They run the car fine, just didnt seem as responsiveoff the line as the IK22s. Still trying to get a hold of some HKS super fire racing plugs s30i, but doesnt look like its gonna happen. They discontinued them and having trouble finding a replacement in the M series.
